The thunderstorm threat will continue today, though the threat for severe weather will spread through the lower Mississippi Valley and across much of the Southeast. Florida and coastal areas in the Carolinas will be the exception in the region as both areas are expected to remain dry through this evening.
RADAR: Interactive Radar While the While much of the Northern Plains and the Midwest should also remain settled and dry today the Northeast may see a bit of light drizzle under some low cloud cover. If it is dry weather you are looking for the place to be is the West, though be prepared for some hot daytime highs in central to northern California. From Santa Rosa to Sacramento many areas will see temperatures topping off at or just over the century mark.
REGIONS: EAST | SOUTH | MIDWEST | WESTAs a result heat warnings and advisories will continue around the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas through this evening.
